About 3 years ago my family and I made the difficult decision to move to Iowa. Reckless policies from Illinois Democrats have been crushing families for years, and like so many, our family had had enough.
After 2014, I had planned on staying out of the public light. I wanted to spend time with my family and focus on expanding our family pizza restaurant. But when Democrats took over the House last year and started passing a radical, Venezuela-style socialist agenda, I knew I couldn’t just sit back and watch.
From Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s $97 trillion “Green New Deal” to gun grabbing and infanticide, Democrats are pushing an agenda that wipes out any hope for the future. To top it all off, Democrats have blocked almost all of President Trump’s economic agenda that aims to finally bring back the American Middle Class. We deserve better.
We can’t bring back the American Middle Class with this group of radical obstructionists holding Congress hostage. We’ve got to take back the House – and the only way to do that is to win Democrat-held seats.
You know me. You’ve been with me for the best and worst of times. From when we beat Phil Hare and took back the 17th District after almost 30 years to when we lost after Democrats gerrymandered our district. I fight the fights that must be fought, and I am focused 100 percent on the future of America for our kids and grandkids.
I’m running in our district – the Iowa 2nd District – and I’m confident that we will win. Not only is this district an open seat without an incumbent, but it’s also much more conservative than my previous district. For example, President Trump won this district in 2016 by FIVE points.

Look, we can’t accomplish much in Washington with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. She’s going to do whatever it takes to stop President Trump from being successful, and she’s going to continue to try to implement a socialist agenda.
That’s why this race is so important. There are only a few dozen competitive House races each year, and my race in the Iowa 2nd District is going to be one of the most competitive. If we want to win the House back, we must win the Iowa 2nd District… and by the way, we’re GOING to win. Nancy is going to be so mad!
